About

This web site is the collaborative efforts of 12 students enrolled in a Blogging, Media and Politics class at the University of Washington, Seattle Campus. They are being advised and mentored by Professor Kathy Gill.

Our goal is to provide an in depth source of information regarding 2008 presidential candidates. We hope to accomplish this through extensive research, weekly blogging and discussion, as well as a survey.

What we are doing

  • Each student is examining two candidates, writing a biography for each that includes background information, qualifications/experience, online presence and financial campaign information
  • The candidates’ positions on five main issues will also be examined by students: the economy, energy, health care, immigration and the Iraq War/War on Terror .
  • Each week all students will post to the main blog articles or interesting tidbits regarding any of the presidential candidates

In addition several students are contributing lengthy articles regarding:

  • First Ladies: History and Influence
  • How Blogging Has Changed Campaign Financing
  • Minorities and Political Power
  • The Presidency and Persons of Color
  • White Houses at War

Wow! I just came across this site while doing a google search to see how my name is getting out. I think this is a wonderful project. I would like to offer to any student examing Raymond McKinney as a candidate to contact me directly. I’m sure someone like me is a little difficult to research, I am not even allowed to post a bio in Wikipedia (yet). My personal email is rmckinney@ray4vp.com and my personal cell is [[deleted]]. I also have a link on my website http://www.ray4vp.com and http://www.myspace.com/ray4vp that will take them to my weekly radio show, live at 7:00 PM, EST on Saturday nights. Thanks for the opportunity to spread the word.
    Respectfully,
    Raymond McKinney
